EazyRent is an online car-rental platform operating in Palestine, enabling customers to browse available vehicles and book with registered rental offices (Renters).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data to the highest standards. This Policy clearly describes:

• The purposes for which we use your data.
• With whom we may share your data.
• Your rights and controls over your data.
By using the EazyRent platform, you agree to the privacy practices described in this Policy.

We collect various types of data depending on how you interact with the platform:
a) Data you provide directly:
• Account data: full name, phone number, email address, city.
• Booking data: rental dates, contact details, notes.
• Renter data: office name, business description, photos, subscription information.
• Communication data: messages you send to our support team.
b) Data we collect automatically:
• Usage data: pages visited, session duration, browsing patterns.
• Device data: browser type, operating system, IP address, language settings.
• Cookie and tracking data: as described in the Cookies section.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We may share your data only in the following cases:
• With Renters: we share necessary contact details (name and phone) with the rental office you book with to complete the booking.
• With service providers: trusted technical partners who help us operate the platform (hosting, payment, email) — they are contractually prohibited from using your data for other purposes.
• For legal compliance: when there is a legal obligation or court order.
• In a business transfer: if a merger or acquisition occurs, you will be notified in advance and this Policy will apply to any transferred data.

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience on the platform:
a) Necessary cookies (cannot be disabled):
• Session and authentication cookies to keep you signed in.
• Security cookies to protect against cyber attacks.
• Language preference cookies (lang, langId).
b) Analytical cookies (with your consent):
• Usage analytics to understand how users interact with the platform.
• We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may affect platform functionality.

We retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy:
• Account data: for the duration of your active account + 3 years after closure.
• Booking data: 5 years from the booking end date for legal and accounting purposes.
• Security logs: 12 months.
• Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
After the retention period, your data is securely deleted or anonymised. You may request early deletion of your data — see Your Rights section.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
• Right of access: obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure: request deletion of your data in legally prescribed circumstances.
• Right to restrict processing: request suspension of processing in specific cases.
• Right to data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to object: object to processing of your data for direct marketing.
• Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent to any processing based upon it at any time.

We apply strict technical and organisational security measures to protect your data:
• Encryption: all data in transit is protected by TLS 1.3. Sensitive data is also encrypted at rest.
• Passwords: stored as BCrypt hashes with a high work factor — we never see your password.
• Tokens: time-limited JWT access tokens + rotating refresh tokens.
• Access controls: staff have minimum-necessary permissions only.
• Monitoring: continuous monitoring for suspicious activity and security logging.
In the event of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours of discovering the incident.

The EazyRent platform is not directed at persons under the age of 18 and does not target them in any way. We do not knowingly collect personal data relating to minors.
If we discover that a person under 18 has submitted their personal data through the platform, we will delete that data immediately.
If you believe that a minor has submitted their data through our platform, please notify us immediately at info@eazyrent.ps.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements.
When we make material changes:
• We will notify you via the email registered to your account.
• We will post a clear notice on the platform 30 days before the change takes effect.
• The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be updated.
Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you may close your account before the effective date.
